Arts In Hamilton
Amazing exhibitions, events and programmes tell our stories from a regional and global perspective, and include visual art, social history, tangata whenua and science from touring exhibitions, and the museum’s own collections. You can find out more about what’s on exhibit here
The Meteor Theatre
Hamilton’s home of New Zealand theatre, the Meteor is the Waikato’s most exciting, accessible and affordable performing arts venue, fostering a wide range of creative and performing arts.
Waikato Regional Theatre
We have an exciting opportunity to create a vibrant, creative precinct for the city and region. The new Waikato Regional Theatre will be a world-class facility and a community asset. Its success will be measured by the quality of the performances it hosts and the shared experiences and identity it creates.
Clarence Street Theatre
Clarence Street is one of the city’s most flexible spaces, and hosts a wide range of shows, from contemporary dance through to musicals, conferences and corporate events.
VICTORIA ON THE RIVER
Victoria on the River is an expansive amphitheatre-style park on Victoria St, in the heart of Hamilton’s central business district.
The Waikato is overflowing with an incredibly diverse range of arts. Creative Waikato builds connections and works collaboratively for a stronger creative sector in the Waikato. Want to eat up all arts the Waikato can serve?
